Your beekeeping records belong to you. HiveScribe collects only what's needed to run the app, doesn't sell your data, and gives you straightforward ways to export or delete everything. Every day you inspect, your logs are emailed to an address of your choosing — your records live outside the app from day one.
We don't collect unnecessary personal information.
You retain full ownership of everything you submit to HiveScribe — hive data, notes, recordings, images, and summaries. HiveScribe claims no ownership rights over your content.
Your data is used solely to provide app features, sync your information across devices, perform transcription and summarization, maintain reliability, and provide support when you ask for it.
HiveScribe does not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising, marketing, or profiling.
Any logs you create in a day are automatically emailed to an address of your choosing that night, grouped by apiary. This is on by default. Your records exist outside the app from the moment you make them.
HiveScribe does not use your content to train machine learning models without explicit opt-in consent. If future development requires training on user-submitted data, you will be notified and given the opportunity to opt in — without losing access to your existing records.
HiveScribe uses Google Cloud infrastructure including Firebase for authentication, database storage, and file storage. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Audio transcription and AI processing use secure Google-hosted services. These providers process data solely to deliver app functionality and have no rights to use your content independently.
HiveScribe personnel do not access user-submitted content except when necessary to provide technical support, investigate reported bugs, or maintain service reliability. When possible, you'll be informed if content review is needed.
You can request account and data deletion at any time. We verify requests and remove your data within 7 business days. See Delete My Data for instructions. If HiveScribe significantly changes platforms or discontinues service, you'll be notified and given a reasonable opportunity to export your data first.
